When a perfect Saturday plan totally goes down the drain- because one, the friend you're supposed to go jogging with early in the morning cancels due to an unexpected errand [no worries dear, next time ;)], two, the weather's too nuts to push through with jogging later in the afternoon, and three, someone in another side of the world postpones your "date" because he probably won't be able to wake up in time since he's gonna be partying till dawn [you do deserve to party darling, so no worries as well :)]- a sympathetic and very cool mother comes in handy.
Refusing to let my mood become as gloomy as the weather, she dragged me to the parlor and had me pampered from head to toe. Perfect timing, since my nails and my hair were starting to hold grudges against me. Then, she had me drive all the way to Rockwell to splurge.
The result?
A hole in the pocket,
side-swept bangs and a vanity attack,
and a very happy Kay :)
