Most of the time, I like to believe the best in people. Even if general wisdom dictates that you shouldn't expect much out of certain individuals in certain situations, I'm usually naive enough to think otherwise. I put people on pedestals. Quite possibly to a fault.
So it sucks when general wisdom turns out to be right. Especially about those you thought would never stoop so low.
