time out

Never thought it would happen. It was always just hypertension and annoying menopausal symptoms. Never thought a modified radical mastectomy and radiotherapy would come into the picture. But the doctor said the worst is over, and now, we're just looking at prevention. So everything's fine and dandy. After weeks of playing nurse, worsening eyebags, and fluctuating pulse rates, taking a breather seemed alright. Having a DVD marathon didn't seem so bad. Until I get some slack about not being attentive or caring enough, and I end up breaking down in front of an LCD screen.

Chocolates would be really nice right now. And a reassuring arm around me when I finally close my eyes.
